Common questions
What does the anti-bullying assembly actually cover?
James explains the three types of bullying behavior, which are teasing, exclusion and physical, and gives students strategies to use when they see it happen. The core message is the power of positive peer pressure and the influence each student's actions have on everyone around them.
Can this be paid for with character education funds?
Often, yes. An anti-bullying and kindness assembly frequently qualifies for character-education or student-wellness money that a general entertainment assembly would not, including Title IV funds. It is worth asking your counselor as well as your principal.
Does it pair with our kindness week or anti-bullying week?
That is exactly where it does its best work. Schools regularly use it to open the week so the vocabulary and the strategies are shared by every student before the classroom activities begin.
What grades is it designed for, and how long is it?
Pre-K through 6th grade, 40 minutes. Every age group in an elementary school can watch the same show together.
What does the assembly cost?
$1,100 for one show and $500 for each additional show on the same day. No travel or mileage fees anywhere in Texas.
