Operation CyberSense teaches children about digital citizenship and how to be safe and responsible online. In this fast-paced show, James Wand, the Secret Agent Magician, takes kids on a top secret mission and teaches the essential message to “Think Before You Click!”
While kids are having fun helping with his amazing magic tricks, James covers these important topics: what is the Internet; cyberbullying and using appropriate language; stranger danger; not sharing personal information; how downloads can damage your computer; and telling a trusted adult if something makes you sad, scared or confused.
Our children are online from the moment they can hold a device, and it is essential that schools teach them good digital citizenship.

What online safety topics does Operation CyberSense cover?
What the internet is, cyberbullying and using appropriate language, stranger danger, not sharing personal information, how downloads can damage a computer, and telling a trusted adult when something makes you sad, scared or confused. The message students leave with is Think Before You Click.
Does it support our digital citizenship curriculum?
Yes. The show is built around digital citizenship rather than scare tactics, and teachers use it to give the whole school shared language before the classroom lessons. It also works well during Digital Citizenship Week or Safer Internet Day.
Is online safety content appropriate for younger elementary students?
The show is designed for pre-K through 6th grade and pitches every topic at an age-appropriate level. Children are online from the moment they can hold a device, so the youngest students are exactly the ones who benefit from hearing it first.
How long is the assembly and what does it cost?
40 minutes. One show is $1,100, each additional show on the same day is $500, and there are no travel or mileage fees anywhere in Texas.
What do we need to have ready?
A clear performance area in the gym or on a cafeteria stage. James brings his own sound system and needs no projector or A/V equipment, and no deposit is required to hold your date.
