The James Wand Secret Agent Magic Show is a fantastic way to motivate your students to WANT to read more. By incorporating books and reading into an exciting story of secret agents and international adventure, James Wand gets kids racing to your library!

Alongside the magic, the show packs in anagrams, library etiquette, book categories, word etymology, homonyms and synonyms. Students even learn to say a word in four different languages. The story frames books and reading as the tools a secret agent needs.
Does this work for a book fair or a family reading night?
It is one of the most common reasons schools book it. The show sends children straight to the library, and schools have reported their best book fair turnout on record after running it as an evening family event.
What grades is the reading assembly for?
Pre-K through 6th grade. The show is built so the same 40 minutes holds fifth and sixth graders without talking down to them and still works for the youngest students in the room.
How long is the show and what does it cost?
40 minutes. One show is $1,100 and each additional show on the same day is $500, with no travel or mileage charges anywhere in Texas.
What does the school need to set up?
Just a clear performance space in the gym or on a cafeteria stage. James brings his own sound system and needs no projector or A/V equipment, and no deposit is required to hold a date.
